I remember like it was yesterday. As a kid, I would get up on Saturday mornings and open my bedroom window to investigate the movement and if my grandmother had turned the heat up on her stove to prepare the first meal of the day. I was fortunate to have my grandparents live across the street.  I could smell every aroma that crept out of the seals of my grandparent's kitchen.

I would speedily get dressed, to go occupy my seat at their kitchen table.

On a full stomach, I would sit back and watch my grandma all afternoon traditionally bring her hot bubbly mixture filled with peanuts into existence, so she could sell her sweet & salty snack to her church family, local businesses and the community. She was a restaurant owner, cooking home-made meals in the community, but Peanut Brittle was my treat of choice.

I was her official taste-tester; grabbing a warm, cracked piece of Peanut Brittle from the tray to confirm the ratio of candy to peanuts was appropriately blended.

For the past 15 years, I have annually created my grandma's Peanut Brittle for the holidays for my friends, family and occasional co-workers to enjoy and reminisce.

Now, on a grander scale with my wife's help, I am bringing my grandma's heart and business mindset back to life by presenting you, the "Snacks That Take You Back."
